Conventions Of A Title Sequence

Conventions of title sequences usually start with the title in a specific font and colour depending on what type of genre it is representing. For example, a thriller film would have a very Erie opening soundtrack and the font colour and style may be blue or white giving of a cold/icy feel.

In addition, title sequences also start of with flashbacks sometimes and give us a small insight into the film early on. This creates an urge to watch more and see who the character is or why the scene is where it is and more. Often, the title sequence can put an opinion on the film immediately. For example, Se7en was a very uncomfortable title sequence. This was made from the Erie sound in the background and images that appeared. Automatically i got a feel for the film and got an idea of what it will be like.
